A strange illness strikes Sierre.
Rye, the staple of our daily bread, seems to have gone bad. It spreads the sacred fire, the dreaded ergot disease, which causes burning sensations, hallucinations and disturbing visions.
In teams, you are sent to investigate the castles in the various districts of Sierre, where decisions are made and the best-kept secrets are hidden.
The elders invoke Saint Anthony the Great, the patron saint against this disease, who is always depicted accompanied by his faithful pig, wandering the streets of the city.
Will you be able to follow in the footsteps of the secret guild once tasked with protecting the relic of Saint Anthony, as well as Sierre and the Val d’Anniviers? Will you be able to understand Sierre’s identity, its neighbourhoods and its Annivian origins?
As you explore, discover three key figures who have left their mark on the region’s history: the painter Edmond Bille, the poet and writer Rainer Maria Rilke, and the industrialist and patron Jean-Jacques Mercier.
Time is running out. Will you manage to complete your mission before the disease consumes the entire city?
