The NaiadsEscape Game Monthey
Les Naïades Escape Game Monthey. The 8 September 1790, fair day. An altercation, yet another injustice. A governor greedy for wealth and power. An honest citizen. The spark. Monthey is set ablaze by the beginnings of the Bas-Valaisan Revolution.
The people, exhausted under the weight of 254 years of injustice and abuse of power, but also inspired by having found in the person of "Gros Bellet" a fair and charismatic leader, obtained the escape of one of the most unworthy governors that the lower Valais had ever known, the subject state of the Upper.
Governor Hildebrandt Schiner left the city in such haste and fright that he left his wig and hat behind.
Humiliated, deprived of his functions, animated by a titanic rage and shame, Hildebrandt Schiner swears to avenge his honour and destroy the people of Montheys. The governor's fierce spirit then turns inextricably towards the destructive power of the Vièze...
A river of the best and the worst, the Vièze is a good example of the ambivalence of water. Sometimes beneficial, sometimes evil. Creative and destructive.
Since the terrible floods of 1726 and 1733, the Vièze has been populated by Naiads. These gentle deities, Nymphs of the rivers, watch over the serenity of the otherwise raging waters of the river. A decision taken unanimously by the Gods, including Poseidon and his Council of 50 Nereids.
Hildebrandt Schiner goes to the banks of the Vièze. Pretexting the flight of the sun and the fall of the sky, he begs the Naiad Castalie to appear to him with the Divine Stained Glass. He hastens to steal the object, the source of the Naiads' divine energy.
Since that day, the Naiads, dispossessed of their energy, deserted the Vièze, leaving behind them a lonely and overexcited river. Unprotected, the Vièze still remains a threat to the town of Monthey... Find and restore the source of divine energy stolen from the Naiads more than 200 years ago so that they can repopulate the Vièze with their magic, their grace and their benevolence.
